    Welcome

Have you ever had a technical problem?
Have you ever wished you could find someone who could translate all the jargon into your language?
You've come to the right place.

A good look around the 'net reveals only 2 common kinds of technical sites: Those that are written by techies for techies, and those written by non-techies who don't possess enough knowledge to help you. The aim of Jons Guides is to provide expert technical advice in simple easy to follow steps.

The driving force behind Jons Guides is a wish to help everyone regardless of their technical skills. The vast majority of the information available here is already available from many other sources, but it has been carefully organised to make it as simple to follow as possible. Organising all of the information available has been a very time consuming task, so please don't just copy it. If you think that a guide is particularly useful then by all means link to it, and if you have additional resources that are relevant to any of the guides please get in touch so that a link can be added.

If you think you can or would like to try to write a guide to help other people in the community then please get in touch.
